It's spreading. I think we are finally exiting the misguided political correctness phase of human evolution. And it's about time. If you're too stupid to detect irony, may Darwin take you. Warning: Offensive language after the jump. T-shirt hell will be no more. And that's one cat I could have seen eye to eye with. Best of all, he exited with flourish. To all those touchy-feely, PC Elitist, time for common sense to make a come back. It's our turn. T-shirt Hell's Demise
I have a new, modern day, hero.
Before I divulge who it is, I will explain why.
Please note that there may be some harsh language further down, so if this offends you please take a hike and don’t click the read more link.
The person to which this commentary refers to is, what I consider, a well respected professional. I say this as a *current* client but let me explain.
I felt the need to stress the term “current” in the above statement because the situation stands that he has more “former” clients than “current” ones.
Happy New Year to all! Another year has swiftly passed us by. Where does the time go. 2008 treated us all rather well. Chris is still at ITS and seems to still enjoy it. I am still at Peterbilt. I have had a few changes there, I’m currently doing two jobs. Job security I guess. Sophie is in the third grade this year and is still enjoying school. She had done very well this year. This is the first year they assign letter grades and so far she has all A’s and one B. This February she’ll be tested for the TAG program.
Now is the time, I guess, to make resolutions for the new year. What do we want to accomplish in 2009? For me personally, I want to get serious about my weight loss efforts. I have been slacking too much in that department. I want to implement a regular fitness program into my weekly schedule. Nothing too strenuous at first, but enough to get me moving. I’ve tried before, but always seem to get sidetracked and don’t get back to it. Also, I want to get more organized at home. I always seem to be in chaos. Too much stuff….have to thin things out. Taming my inner packrat is going to be tough.
Well…you make your resolutions, and I hope that you’re successful with them. I’ll be working on mine.
Have a great 2009!
We are now officially a 3 Jeep family. So long $$$$, jk.
The project jeep is going to be going away. lack of time, funds, space…..The 94 YJ (heep as Chris so affectionately calls it) is now the rolling project. My ’00 TJ is still stock, not looking to do too many mods. Have a ‘black out’ project planned but it will be just bits at a time. Here’s what I’ve got planned for it so far:
black headlight rings
black stickers
black door mirror mounts
rocker guards/side steps
new bumpers
tinted soft top windows
powder coat wheels
Hi there, did you miss me? Ah, well…..didn’t think so, but one can hope. :) I was just informed that if I didn’t post something soon, the family sight would be going by the wayside. So….Here I am, posting. It’s been awhile since I’ve done this, bear with me.
The original purpose of the family page was to be a resource for the family to keep in touch / informed on the comings and goings of , well, us. Some how, (by laziness and procrastination) we’ve not reached that goal. I’m going to make an effort to post more, but I’m going to ask something of you (the extended family and friends) too. Check out the sites, register a user id (make sure you let Chris know who you are, he doesn’t always recognize names), and start posting. Whether it’s a long drawn out epic, or just a quick ‘Hi’, whatever, just something. If we can get enough interest in it, we can get a forum going, or something. Also, we’ve got game and tech sites if those would interest you or someone you know. Don’t be afraid to spread the word…We’re here, we’d love to hear what’s going on with you.
For over 15 years I worked for a local family owned auto dealership,a franchise subsidiary of Daimler Chrysler. The majority of the employees had been there as long if not longer than I was. We were like a family.
Just recently the dealership was bought by Ken Garff Automotive Group out of Salt Lake City, Utah.We were told that the dealership would be closing, and the franchise would be absorbed into another dealership in town, also owned by Garff. We were given only five days notice(we were told the day after Christmas). We received no type of severance, only what was left of our vacation pay. Needless to say many of us were quite angry and hurt, our family was breaking up.
Merry Christmas! Feliz Navidad! Happy Hanukkah! Good Kwanzaa! Did I forget anyone?…..Whatever your beliefs and traditions, I hope everyone has a good holiday spent with family and friends. To me that’s what holidays are about anyway. Just another reason to get together with everyone and get a little festive(aka drunk). Be safe. Be merry. Happy Yule!
