Apparently I, as a US citizen, own a fair portion of my Government’s debt.

I think it’s high time we called in debt since the idiots in DC can’t seem to figure out how to pay down debt.
I figured it out, they should be able to as well.

Congrediots: Pay down the debt, balance the budget or GET OUT.

There should be no such thing as a “career politician”. Keeping the same morons in power for decades is counter-productive at best. Completely self-destructive in reality.

I have a desk job, I don’t have a degree BUT I do things for myself.
I fix my own cars, do my own plumbing, carpentry, welding, lawn work etc.

This is why America is failing. We’ve gone to a “Degree or nothing” mentality.

I’m proud to say that, while I might not at work, I’m grimy pursuing my hobbies.

A congressman was seated next to a little girl on an airplane so he
turned to her and said, “Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike
up a conversation with your fellow passenger.”

The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the
total stranger, “What would you want to talk about?”

“Oh, I don’t know,” said the congressman. “How about global warming,
universal health care, or stimulus packages?” as he smiled smugly.

“OK,” she said. “Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a
question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff -
grass.

Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty,
but a horse produces clumps. Why do you suppose that is?”

The legislator, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence,
thinks about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”

To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified to
discuss global warming, universal health care, or the economy, when you don’t
know shit?”

And then she went back to reading her book.

New Shed (so far)

Since the Pickup is finally fixed, I was able to continue on the latest home project, building the new shed.
Our 8×8 kit shed has lasted about 12-13 years but it’s showing it’s age and we need more room.

Hopper and I decided to build a 16×10 shed behind the garage… mostly because the city wouldn’t let me build one bigger…. What is it with all these rules on what I can and can’t do on my own property anyway?

Fired up the new grill this evening.

No one has gotten sick yet, so I think everything turned out ok! :P

Since I couldn't keep this from knocking over my little weber grill, I decided to upgrade.

CJ and I were at Lowe's for other things a few days ago and we saw a nice gas/charcoal combo grill. I thought about it for a few days and decided to get one.

While we were there, we disovered it had a firebox option for offset heat for smoking.

I ended up with this . It only took us about 4 hours and a sunburn to get it together.
