Ku’a is actually 11 weeks old this weekend, but I didn’t get a post done last week.

She’s coming along good. Come, sit, fetch, drop and give are all learned and performed on a semi-regular basis.
Crating is working as well. She won’t kennel on command but she doesn’t whine when she’s in there at all. She is also able to hold her water through the night and has few accidents during the day when she is out. Those accidents that do occur are usually when I fail to acknowledge her attention getting devices.

got on Facebook recently and have become addicted to this game called Farmville…. plow the land, plant seeds, wait for it to grow and then harvest what you’ve sown…..and like any game the more ingame $$ you earn the cooler things you can acquire…I’,m working towards the villa with a vinyard

We picked up Ku'a the blue heeler (or if you want to be technical an Australian Cattle Dog) on 11/14.
She's been doing well with housebreaking being able to not have accidents throughout the day but we have to keep an eye on her when she is out playing. Speaking of playing, she has gotten more mileage out of the cat toy than the kittens did.
Crate training is also going well. She barely wines when we close her up after she's entered to eat.
For the most part all the other animals have taken to her or, at least, put up with her presence. She did run into Rip in the backyard on the first day and was soundly pummeled by the cat for her trouble. Buddy also seems a little put out by her energy, growling and barking at her. She tends to hit the floor in a submissive posture when this happens. I think it's normal pecking order behavior by both parties.
I'd forgotten how much energy pups have.

I have the first, but it takes up too much floor space and isn’t big enough. Oxymoron you say? I think not.
I want a 50″+ LCD to hang on the wall. Looking at Sanyo, Samsung and LG.
The second I don’t have but I think I deserve one.

It's spreading.
I think we are finally exiting the misguided political correctness phase of human evolution. And it's about time.
If you're too stupid to detect irony, may Darwin take you. Warning: Offensive language after the jump. T-shirt hell will be no more. And that's one cat I could have seen eye to eye with. Best of all, he exited with flourish.
To all those touchy-feely, PC Elitist, time for common sense to make a come back. It's our turn.

I have a new, modern day, hero.
Before I divulge who it is, I will explain why.
Please note that there may be some harsh language further down, so if this offends you please take a hike and don’t click the read more link.
The person to which this commentary refers to is, what I consider, a well respected professional. I say this as a *current* client but let me explain.
I felt the need to stress the term “current” in the above statement because the situation stands that he has more “former” clients than “current” ones.

Happy New Year to all! Another year has swiftly passed us by. Where does the time go. 2008 treated us all rather well. Chris is still at ITS and seems to still enjoy it. I am still at Peterbilt. I have had a few changes there, I’m currently doing two jobs. Job security I guess. Sophie is in the third grade this year and is still enjoying school. She had done very well this year. This is the first year they assign letter grades and so far she has all A’s and one B. This February she’ll be tested for the TAG program.
Now is the time, I guess, to make resolutions for the new year. What do we want to accomplish in 2009? For me personally, I want to get serious about my weight loss efforts. I have been slacking too much in that department. I want to implement a regular fitness program into my weekly schedule. Nothing too strenuous at first, but enough to get me moving. I’ve tried before, but always seem to get sidetracked and don’t get back to it. Also, I want to get more organized at home. I always seem to be in chaos. Too much stuff….have to thin things out. Taming my inner packrat is going to be tough.
Well…you make your resolutions, and I hope that you’re successful with them. I’ll be working on mine.
Have a great 2009!

Hi there, did you miss me? Ah, well…..didn’t think so, but one can hope. :) I was just informed that if I didn’t post something soon, the family sight would be going by the wayside. So….Here I am, posting. It’s been awhile since I’ve done this, bear with me.

For over 15 years I worked for a local family owned auto dealership,a franchise subsidiary of Daimler Chrysler. The majority of the employees had been there as long if not longer than I was. We were like a family.
Just recently the dealership was bought by Ken Garff Automotive Group out of Salt Lake City, Utah.We were told that the dealership would be closing, and the franchise would be absorbed into another dealership in town, also owned by Garff. We were given only five days notice(we were told the day after Christmas). We received no type of severance, only what was left of our vacation pay. Needless to say many of us were quite angry and hurt, our family was breaking up.
